Students who successfully complete the paper should be able to:

  • Explain the fundamental principles of ethics and their application to the business world, particularly with regard to internal controls.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental principles of accounting and the ability to construct journal and ledger accounts.

  • Demonstrate how to control and account for assets such as cash, inventory, accounts receivable, property, plant and equipment.
