This paper builds on the foundations laid down in CAEL001 and CAEL002.Learners’ abilities to use English for communicative purposes are extended and a more integrated approach is taken to developing the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Students who successfully complete the paper should be able to:

  • This is an early Intermediate level.
    By the end of this level the student will be able to use language related to familiar topics within a restricted range of situations. The student will have a limited command of the English language and should be beginning to develop independence.
