This paper provides an introduction to the field of human-computer interaction (HCI), to enable students to gain a sound understanding of, and appreciation for, the importance of the human-computer interface, to develop skills and techniques for the design and implementation of modern computer interfaces. Students will understand the role of interface design in the system life-cycle and practice techniques to improve user experiences.
