Students organise themselves into and work in small groups throughout the paper. They will contribute to all aspects of building a medium-sized piece of software: developing requirements and specification; designing the system structure and user-interface; carrying out documentation, and implementation.

The first week delivers the principles required for ethical and secure execution of this software engineering project. It also provides an opportunity for students to meet with each other and form groups, and learn about the projects available. The weeks thereafter will be dedicated to making progress with the project, communicating this to the instructors (via periodic individual reports and group meetings), and producing the expected deliverables. Group meetings will take place roughly biweekly. The meetings will be via Zoom.

Assessment will be based on progress reported in the deliverables for requirements, design and test plan, a quiz on the lecture material and the final group presentation.
