Paper Description
This paper examines pedagogical approaches to digital technology integration in learning contexts, and derives evidence-based principles underpinning effective digital pedagogies. Students learn to apply the principles from literature/sources presented in class to critique and design of digital learning experiences/resources.

Online Support
This paper is fully online, with all teaching in Moodle via panopto, discussion forums and individual/group feedback. The convenor is available for appointments via phone, zoom (or in person where a student is on campus). Students will need regular and reliable access to the Internet and a computer, for daily access to the class where possible. It is advisable to have a backup plan for access if the primary connection/computer fails at any stage in the trimester. The paper convenor will reply to all Moodle communications within 12-24 hours during weekdays, and is an active participant in all class discussions. Moodle is used for class notices (Announcements). It is your responsibility to check the site regularly and read the Moodle email notifications. Please ensure the email address in Moodle is the one you check regularly.
Workload
This paper has a credit value of 15 points, likely to require around 150 hours of work during the semester, including:
- Checking Moodle regularly
- Viewing video content and updates
- Reading academic literature, from the readings list and beyond
- Contributing to online discussions
- Finding and reflecting upon research and digital resources
- Carrying out research for assignments
- Experimenting with digital tools.
