How this paper will be taught

Edit How this paper will be taught Content

This paper will be taught in person on the Hamilton Campus.

Students are expected to attend both of the scheduled lecture/studios. These lecture/studios have been designed to be interactive, collaborative, mixed-learning opportunities and will vary every session. Lecture, tutorial, workshop, and critique content will be delivered during these studio sessions. The structure and format of lecture/studios will vary and is intended to be flexible and reactive to the needs of the learners throughout the trimester.

Lecture/studio Focus/Topics:

The Monday lecture/studio all trimester will focus on content for Assignment 01 OR Assignment 03

The Wednesday lecture/studio all trimester will focus on content for Assignment 02

Attendance:

Lecture/studio attendance is compulsory and required for students to be successful in this paper.

Students must attend BOTH the Monday and Wednesday sessions in person.

Lecture/studios provide opportunities for students to gain assistance from lecturers, tutors, and graduate assistants on the graded aspects of the paper. This will take the form of:

  • mini-lecture, tutorial, workshop, and facilitated activities
  • group and individual instruction to assist with assignments
  • group and individual assignment critique
  • group and individual assignment feedback
  • your opportunity to clarify questions about this paper from the lecturer, tutor, or graduate assistant

Ensure that you have any material you need for the lecture/studio ready (e.g. printed) before the session begins.

Graded assignment presentations & submissions will take place during Monday or Wednesday Lecture/studios at various times during the Trimester. These will be advised in assessment briefs and will be compulsory for students to attend in person to receive a grade.
