This paper is an opportunity for students to plan, develop and carry out a small scale design project with relative independence. Students are encouraged to collaborate with peers in the learning environment, with members of the professional design industry and the academic community. An adviser will supervise and guide the student through their project.

Assessment criteria will be supplied via Moodle for each of the assessment items. The degree exhibition may also be externally reviewed to provide feedback on the quality of the work produced. The convener reserves the right to exclude works from public exhibition at their discretion. Process work is considered an important part of any design project and should be available for review for any work that is submitted.
