    Linked to the following assessments:
    Assignment 1: Road alignment (2)
    Online Quizzes (7)
    Exam (8)
  • Apply modern methods to estimate earthwork quantities and produce mass-haul diagrams (WA1, WA9, WA10)
    Linked to the following assessments:
    Assignment 2: Earthworks (3)
    Online Quizzes (7)
    Exam (8)
  • Explain pavement structures, characteristics, design pavements and discuss sustainable and cost effective ways of satisfying highway design requirements (WA1, WA6, WA9)
    Linked to the following assessments:
    Assignment 3: Pavement (4)
    Online Quizzes (7)
    Exam (8)

Assessment

Edit Assessments Content

Internally assessed components in addition to the final exam include quizzes, labs, and assignments.

Assignments will be uploaded onto Moodle prior to the dates given on the lecture schedule. Lab sheets will be uploaded on Moodle before the labs. Students need to print out the lab sheets and bring them to the labs.

The Final Examination will be a closed book examination, and the topics covered will reflect the content of the whole course.

Samples of your work may be required as part of the Engineering New Zealand accreditation process for BE(Hons) degrees. Any samples taken will have the student name and ID redacted. If you do not want samples of your work collected then please email the engineering administrator, Natalie Shaw (natalie.shaw@waikato.ac.nz), to opt out.
