Paper Description
Edit Paper Description Content
New Zealand managers must develop people management skills and knowledge for several basic reasons. Very importantly, they need to understand how to do so to influence employee behaviour and human capital, with the bigger aim of carrying out the organisation's strategy and achieving higher levels of performance. At the same time, it is important, for performance-related reasons, to know about how to manage employee well-being and organisational diversity. Likewise, managers need to know how to maintain organisational compliance with employment law, most particularly as it pertains to dismissal.
