The Capstone Project provides an opportunity to investigate a topic in depth. The project should test your ability to engage in an investigative piece of work, using business research methods, resulting in a major report that will be of value to practitioners. It is the culmination of the MBA programme and you should be integrating the theories, models and experiences gained throughout your study programme.
This course is 30 points and is split into two parts. Part 1 includes sessions on the methods used to conduct research. You will be exposed to both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, as well as how to write a research proposal. Once you have completed Part 1 you will be allocated a supervisor to support you to complete your capstone project. This project can relate to your work or be something that you are passionate about. The research project will include primary data collection and the final report will be 6,000-10,000 words.
