What this paper is about

Edit What this paper is about Content

Leading in the contemporary context is widely recognised as being more complex and challenging than it has ever been. Today’s leaders are required to lead diverse inter-generational and multi-cultural teams in an economy that is rapidly changing and transforming. They need to deal with emerging disruptive technology and understand and respond to a complex array of environmental, social and cultural challenges and opportunities.

Future leaders need to be multi-disciplinary strategic thinkers, who have the foresight and the ability to take a holistic, long-term view of the organisations within which they work and the communities within which they live.

In this paper participants will examine how they can maximise the potential of their MBA by integrating their accumulated learning and knowledge and planning for the next stage of their career.

Specifically, the paper will enable participants to manage the increasingly complex challenges they will encounter as leaders of the future by:

  • Understanding and applying the tools, frameworks and models of coaching.
  • Applying the understanding and theories of coaching in the context of their post-MBA career.
  • Recognising the ethical and moral dilemmas that apply to coaching.
  • Building fluency in the coaching skills needed for both personal and professional development and applying them in an organisational setting.
