Korean232-23A is a core Korean language paper designed to help students build linguistic skills in Korean at the lower-intermediate level and acquire cultural perspectives through their language learning.

Students will achieve competence and confidence in communicating in Korean in a range of defined contexts and become independent learners and language users. Students will acquire strategies for lower-intermediate level language learning and use as an essential preparation towards advanced Korean skills.

This NET paper will be taught only ONLINE via Zoom.

You will have two hours of lectures and two hours of tutorials per week. You will be expected to acquire key grammar and vocabulary knowledge through lectures and to actively participate in tutorial activities to enhance your Korean language skills.

All the learning materials and workbook assignments will be provided by the lecturer.

This paper will cover Chapters 13-21 of Learn Korean with BTS Book 3-4. You will be able to borrow the textbook from the library during the trimester. Additional materials and workbook assignments will be provided by the lecturers.

You will be expected to submit the workbook assignment corresponding to each lesson electronically every two or three weeks.

In order to progress to the expected level in the language, it is very important that you attend and participate in class via Zoom. Since classes are highly interactive, they will not be Panoptoed or recorded, due to student privacy issues.
