Individuals and organisations are operating in contexts that are not only changing rapidly but are increasingly complex and uncertain. With advancing climate change, enhanced health risks due to pandemics, increasing inequality and social strife, and depletion of vital resources, the world faces major challenges to securing a sustainable future. This paper explores economic, environmental, social and cultural aspects of sustainability and explores future-thinking processes to prepare citizens and leaders of today to reflect on and imagine sustainable futures for organisations and societies.
