Paper Description
This course discusses selected important legal issues in international sale of goods and financing international sale in the modern global era. Principal topics include: international sale of goods under the commonly adopted terms such as FOB and CIF among others, and under the terms of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International sale of Goods 1980; and means of payment (finance) in international sale focusing on letters of credit.
Paper Structure
The paper will be taught through weekly 2 hour lectures. It will be taught both on-campus and through Zoom or equivalent.
This course is FLEXI and the lectures will also be available via Zoom. The only exception to this are classes timetabled in rooms without recording functionality.Learning Outcomes

Assessment
The assessment consists of a research proposal, an oral presentation and research essay.
Assessment Components
The internal assessment/exam ratio (as stated in the University Calendar) is 100:0. There is no final exam.
