Paper Description
Ka ārohi tēnei pepa ki ngā ariā me ngā rangahau kaupapa Māori, ko te tirohanga Māori te tūāpapa, ā, ka torotoro hoki ki ngā mahi rangahau kei roto i ngā horopaki akoranga Māori.
This paper seeks to explore Kaupapa Maori research theory and methodologies, developing more informed and culturally located and responsive research practice, with a particular focus on researching in Maori educational contexts.
Paper Structure

Rūma TT4.01. He wānanga matapaki ēnei wāhanga e pā ana ki te rangahau, ki ngā aria rangahau me ngā whakaaturanga a ngā ākonga. He mea ni te taea ā-tinana mai ki ngā wānanga, kia āta mahi kanohi ki te kanohi ai. These will be discussion-based sessions on research and theory as well as student presentations. It is important that you attend all these sessions as they involve essential face-to-face learning.

This paper has a credit value of 30 points and is 100% internally assessed, based on participation, work and assignments.The expected workload in a 500-level paper is a minimum of 300 hours.You will be expected to spend a minimum of 48 hours attending scheduled on-campus classes and participating in on-line discussions. The remainder od time will be used on personal study and preparation time to complete assessment tasks and readings.
