This paper is a 15-point elective paper in the Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching and Learning. It contributes to the overall aim of the PGCert in Tertiary Teaching and Learning, which is to improve tertiary learning and teaching by providing a flexible qualification that meets the requirements of a range of academic and general staff and doctoral students/postdocs. The paper provides the opportunity for participants to extend learning from another paper to a deeper level, or examine a topic that is not covered by other papers in the PGCert Tertiary Teaching and Learning but that is relevant to the programme learning outcomes. Learning outcomes, assessment and content are decided by the participant and paper convenor/lecturer in collaboration.

The paper requires 150 hours of study, with face-to-face (or Zoom/Skype) sessions as agreed by participants and lecturer combined with directed and independent study and assessment preparation.
