This paper focuses on the management of accommodation, events, and venues. It provides students with an understanding of some key issues in hotel, event, and venue management, such as hotel guest, guest room, room rate structure, revenue management, front office, property management system, guest accounting, housekeeping, reservation, guest service, event operation, event ticketing and booking, venue management, and safety, security, and regulations.

This paper covers two areas: (1) hotel management; and (2) event/venue management.

(1) Hotel Management:

This paper cultivates awareness of rapidly changing and intensifying competition in commercial accommodation. It will establish an understanding of hotel management. A future-oriented practical approach will be taken to comprehend hotel guest, guest room, room rate structure, revenue management, front office, property management system, guest accounting, housekeeping, reservation, and guest service.

(2) Event/Venue Management:

This paper includes strong practical/experiential learning elements: event operation, event ticketing and booking, venue management, and safety, security, and regulations. Participants will have a basic understanding of event operation and venue management.
