This paper focuses on the operation and management of commercial accommodation. It provides students with an understanding of hotel guests, guest rooms, front office, room rate structure, property management system, guest accounting, night audit, housekeeping, reservations and forecasting, sharing accommodation, and bed and breakfast.

This paper will be delivered as a FLEXI paper. Further information on this will be provided in Moodle closer to the start of A Trimester once enrolment numbers are known.

This paper cultivates awareness of rapidly changing and intensifying competition in commercial accommodation. Specifically, it will establish a comprehensive understanding of hotel management. A future-oriented practical approach will be taken to comprehend hotel guests, guest rooms, front office, room rate structure, property management system, guest accounting, night audit, housekeeping, reservations and forecasting, sharing accommodation, and bed and breakfast.
